Mission:

To create an environment that is known as the preferred and premiere place for athletes to train, as well as a leader to enhance and advance human performance.

Athletic Performance Center (APC)

We are Southwest Connecticut’s premier training facility for student athletes. Team training programs are designed to utilize a science-based, holistic approach to athletics, focusing on performance and strength to increase team speed and endurance while reducing the risk of injury. We strive to motivate our student athletes with a personalized approach to training, resulting in faster, stronger, and tougher teams. Our goal is to provide athletes with a safe, professional training environment, while increasing overall team performance, camaraderie and confidence.

Why is a science-based training program important?

Our professional coaches grasp the intricacies of sport specific movement, decreasing the risk of injury and improving overall student athletic performance.

Agility, Flexibility, and Fun!

Serious workouts are serious fun at the APC, and we strive to create an enjoyable environment for your student athlete to grow.

What makes the APC unique?

Parents and coaches concerned about injury prevention during competition can rest assured knowing that the APC’s coaches focus on safety, strength, and technique.

“My daughters lacrosse team did their pre-season training at APC. Trainers Dave and Tim not only worked them hard, challenged them and made them stronger, but made it fun and not a chore which itself is a challenge for High schoolers. My daughter is also planning on entering the USMMA and they well prepared her for her fitness assessment which she passed with flying colors! I would highly recommend APC to anyone looking for a great workout and training experience!”

Thanks! - Jill

“Thank you so much for everything you have done for me this summer. Coming into the beginning of the summer, I knew that I needed to be in top physical condition for field hockey and you have definitely helped me achieve this goal. Your commitment and drive to help all of the girls become stronger and faster is what pushed us through the tough times. At points I wanted to give up, whether it was a weight that I couldn’t lift or a sprint that I couldn’t finish, but having you there to cheer me on was what helped me push through the pain and keep going. Going into this next field hockey season, I can confidently say that I am ready to run my hardest and put everything out on the field. Thank you again for your tremendous help this summer.”

All The Best - Smitty

“I think Dara finds your holistic approach very helpful and informative.  While she understands the importance of working out to “be better” at sports, I don’t know if she totally made the connection that it actually can make you much better at skills and it’s not just for stamina/fitness.  She’s really enjoying the entire session and comes home exhausted!”

Thank you! - Hayley

“Thanks for your impact upon my daughter. Not only does Mckalynn really enjoy your class overall but feels it propels her strength and performance. As mentioned I searched for such a long time for sport focused cross training for girls. I am truly appreciative of what you have created!”

Gratefully - Jenn
